Being aware of the warning signs can help you protect yourself and others. Learn how to spot job scams and stay safe:

  • If a job opportunity seems too good to be true, it’s probably a job scam.
  • Stop. Check. Protect: Before you apply, STOP and CHECK it’s a legit job offer by contacting the business using a number you find yourself. PROTECT others by reporting job scams through our website.
  • Do not pay money or cryptocurrency to “unlock” job tasks or earn commissions for a job.
  • Be wary if contacted for employment via instant messaging platforms (WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.)
  • Be wary of any job that requires you to pay money or cryptocurrency before you commence.
  • If you encounter a job scam, report it in app and to Scamwatch, even if you haven’t lost money.
