The Playford Trust is expanding its partnership with the technology company Codan and is now offering new PhD scholarships in the following technologies:

  • application of machine learning to inertial navigation
  • RF digital signal processing for wireless ranging and localisation
  • application of computer vision technologies for simultaneous location and tracking.

Codan has formed a corporate Research & Technology group to focus on core and emerging technologies related to the field of Situational Awareness.

“These scholarships offer rare and exciting opportunities to work with one of SA’s most respected and innovative companies,” said Chair of the Playford Trust Scholarship Committee, Professor Don Bursill AM.

Codan is also supporting an Honours scholarship in science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics.
